Common use of Decrease in Cost of Work Clause in Contracts

Decrease in Cost of Work. If the Cost of the Work is decreased by change order, payment due from the Owner to the Construction Manager shall be reduced by the amount the Construction Manager is no longer obligated to pay subcontractors or suppliers for performance of the Work. Decreases in the Cost of the Work shall inure to the benefit of the Owner and shall not become part of the Construction Manager’s Contingency.
