Common use of Default Bid Clause in Contracts

Default Bid. 1. The Registered Participant willing to participate in Shadow Auctions has the option to place default Bids for Shadow Auctions. 2. A default Bid, once identified as such by the Registered Participant, shall apply automatically to each subsequent relevant Shadow Auction as defined by the Registered Participant when placing the default Bid. At the opening of a relevant Bidding Period, the registered default Bid shall be considered as a Bid submitted by the Registered Participant for the relevant Shadow Auction. This Bid shall be considered as a delivered Bid when the Allocation Platform sends an acknowledgment of receipt to the Registered Participant. 3. If a default Bid Quantity or a quantity calculated as a sum of the Bid Quantity for several default Bids submitted for the same Shadow Auction by a Registered Participant exceeds the final Offered Capacity, the Bids with the lowest Bid Price shall be rejected one (1) by one (1) until the total allowed Bid Quantity is lower than or equal to the Offered Capacity. 4. A Registered Participant who wants to modify a default Bid for a future Shadow Auction shall change the Bid Quantity and the Bid Price of its default Bids before the applicable Shadow Auction Bidding Period opening. 5. A Registered Participant not wishing to submit the default Bid on the Auction Tool for future Shadow Auctions can cancel its default Bids before the subsequent Shadow Auction Bidding Period opening.

At the opening of for a relevant specific Bidding PeriodZone border, the registered default Bid shall be considered as a Bid submitted by the Registered Participant for the relevant Shadow Auction. This Bid shall be considered as a delivered Bid when the Allocation Platform sends an acknowledgment of receipt to the Registered Participantperiod and direction. 3. If a default Bid Quantity or a quantity calculated as a sum of the Bid Quantity for several default Bids submitted for the same Shadow Auction hour, Bidding Zone border and direction by a Registered Participant exceeds the final relevant Offered Capacity, the Bids with the lowest Bid Price shall be rejected one (1) by one (1) until the total allowed Bid Quantity is lower than or equal to the Offered Capacity. In case where the Information System Rules allows submission of Bids with the same Bid Price by one Registered Participant the Allocation Platform may apply additional criteria or rules to decide which Bid shall be rejected. Such additional criteria or rules shall be included in the information System Rules and shall be one or more from the following: (a) chronological submission (time stamp); and/or (b) Bid identification assigned by the Auction Tool; and/or (c) rejection of all relevant Bids with the same Bid Price. 4. A Registered Participant who wants to modify a default Bid for a future Shadow Auction shall change the Bid Quantity and the Bid Price of its default Bids before the applicable launch of a Shadow Auction Bidding Period openingAuction. 5. If the Shadow Auctions are decided in advance for one or several daily sessions of the MRC, Registered Participants have the opportunity to modify their Bids according to the information published in the relevant Auction Specification. A Registered Participant not wishing to submit the default Bid on the Auction Tool for future Shadow Auctions can cancel shall set the Bid Quantity and the Bid Price of its default Bids to zero before the subsequent launch of a Shadow Auction Bidding Period openingAuction.
