Definition and Terms Sample Clauses

The 'Definition and Terms' clause establishes clear meanings for specific words and phrases used throughout the contract. It typically lists key terms and provides precise definitions to ensure all parties interpret the language consistently; for example, it may define what constitutes a "business day" or clarify the scope of "services" provided. By standardizing terminology, this clause prevents misunderstandings and disputes over ambiguous language, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding in the agreement.
