Dehumidification for Rooftop Unit Sample Clauses
Dehumidification for Rooftop Unit. The use of a refrigerant coil with hot gas reheat adds an active dehumidification capability to the unit. During the cooling season, hot gas reheat uses excess heat generated from the refrigeration cycle to provide improved humidity control in the space. This is done by allowing the air to get cold enough to condense on the coil and then reheating it back to a comfortable temperature, while leaving the moisture behind. The following is the proposed scope of demolition work: • Demolish (2) base-mounted, end suction hot water pumps. • Demolish chemical feeders serving the hot water and chilled water systems. • Demolish (2) 4-pipe air handling units serving gymnasium and cafeteria. • Demolish (2) 4-pipe unit ventilators serving library area. Demolish associated intake air hoods on roof and cap roof curbs. • Demolish (27) floor-mounted, 4-pipe unit ventilators serving classrooms. • Demolish (11) floor-mounted, 4-pipe fan coil units serving office areas and support spaces. • Demolish (4) ceiling-hung, 4-pipe fan coil units serving office areas and support spaces. • Demolish (6) ceiling-hung, 4-pipe unit ventilators serving classrooms and support spaces. • Demolish (8) roof-mounted exhaust fans. Existing curbs to remain. The following is the proposed scope of new work: • Provide (26) tall, vertical 4-pipe unit ventilators to serve classrooms. New supply ductwork will be provided above the ceiling with new supply diffusers. The outdoor air ductwork will be extended from the existing wall louver to connect to unit ventilator plenum. Outdoor air ductwork will be concealed by the cabinet infill provided in the existing unit ventilator location. • Provide (6) ceiling-hung, 4-pipe horizontal unit ventilators to serve interior classrooms and faculty room. The units will be installed in the same location as existing. Reconnect the existing chilled water piping, hot water piping, and outdoor air ductwork. Any drywall patching/repair for installation of the new units is included in the scope. • Provide (1) floor-mounted, 4-pipe vertical unit ventilator to serve art room. The unit will be installed in the same location as existing. Reconnect the existing chilled water piping, hot water piping, and outdoor air ductwork. Any floor or wall patching/repair for installation of the new unit is included in the scope. • Provide (5) ceiling-hung, 4-pipe fan coils units to serve the offices and support spaces. Reconnect existing chilled water/hot water piping and ductwork connection...
