Common use of DeKalb County – Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Clause in Contracts

DeKalb County – Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In 2008 the tribe purchased approximately 120 acres of land adjacent to Chief Shabbona State Park in an area that was formerly owned by the Potawatomi and ceded to the U.S. government by treaty. Tribe is currently seeking legal assistance to reclaim treaty land in adjacent areas, which would include the State Park, a Forest Preserve and a country club. We have provided brief CTA by providing conservation cover seeding standards and list of county contractors to work on drainage issues.
