DELAY AND CANCELLATION DEFINITIONS FOR GUARANTEE. Delay An Engine-caused delay of an Aircraft occurs when the malfunctioning of an Engine or Part thereof, the checking of same, or necessary corrective action causes the final Aircraft departure to be delayed more than a specified time (*****) after the programmed departure time in any of the following instances: • An originating flight departs later than the scheduled departure time. • A through service or turnaround flight remains on the ground longer than the allowable ground time. • The aircraft is released late from maintenance.
