DELEGATION; SUBCONTRACTORS Clause Samples
The "Delegation; Subcontractors" clause defines the conditions under which a party to a contract may assign its duties or engage third parties, such as subcontractors, to perform contractual obligations. Typically, this clause outlines whether prior written consent is required before delegating tasks or hiring subcontractors, and may specify the standards or responsibilities that must be maintained by any third party involved. Its core function is to ensure that the original party remains accountable for the quality and completion of the work, while providing flexibility to use additional resources, and to protect the other party from unapproved or unsuitable subcontracting arrangements.
