Common use of Department Acceptance of GMP Proposal Clause in Contracts

Department Acceptance of GMP Proposal. The Department and the Design-Builder shall meet to negotiate the terms of the GMP Proposal. If the GMP Proposal is acceptable to the Department, the Department shall submit the resulting GMP amendment to the Council for the District of Columbia. The GMP shall be subject to review and approval by the Council for the District of Columbia in the event it exceeds the previously approved Contract value by more than $1 million. In such event, the GMP shall not be effective until so approved.
