Common use of Describe the Area of Potential Effects (APE) Clause in Contracts

Describe the Area of Potential Effects (APE). Conservation Planners will provide a basic description of the APE for the undertaking in Part C of the Form. This will include a description of the conditions, history of land use, and disturbance activities that have occurred within the APE; and will include a legal description of the APE. Land ownership must also be included in the description of the APE to determine if the undertaking will involve coordination with another state or Federal agency.
