Design Loadings Sample Clauses
Design Loadings. All structures and their component parts shall be capable of withstanding the worst combination of dead and live loads, surge, braking, lurching, centrifugal, wind, seismic and erection forces, impact, temperature and shrinkage effects, and all other forces without exceeding the prescribed settlement, deflection, vibration and stress limits. All buildings shall be designed to ensure that noise, vibration and temperature levels are kept within acceptable limits. Structures subjected to the effects of any utilities plant excited vibrations shall have a natural frequency at a safe margin from the frequency of the included vibrations.
Design Loadings. For design purposes, structural design loadings (wind, snow, seismic, or a combination, etc.) must be determined in accordance with the UBC and IBC, unless otherwise directed, and, where required, compatible with the existing building structural systems. Any special loading required for a specific site or standard designs, will be furnished by FAA.
