Determination to Discipline. If the xxxx determines that disciplinary action for cause should occur, the xxxx shall prepare a formal statement of the charges which shall be served on the employee. The employee will be accorded an opportunity to rebut the charges. Both a copy of the charges and of the rebuttal shall be placed in the employee’s personnel file and may be used according to the guidelines in section 18.100. If the faculty member believes that this action was in violation of the terms of this contract, the faculty member has the right to grieve this action in accordance with Section 19.000.
