Common use of Developing Clause in Contracts

Developing. Educator Plan shall mean a plan developed by the Educator and the Evaluator for one school year or less for an Educator without Professional Teacher Status (PTS); or, at the discretion of an Evaluator, for an Educator with PTS in a new assignment.

An educator with PTS shall be considered in a new assignment when teaching for more than twenty percent (20%) of his/her assignment under a different license that he/she has not previously taught under within the last five years.

Educator Plan shall mean a plan developed by the Educator and the Evaluator Principal for one school year or less for an Educator without Professional Teacher Status (PTS, see Ch.71, sec.41 for definition); or, at the discretion of an Evaluatorthe Principal, for an Educator with PTS in a new assignment.

New Assignment: An educator with PTS shall be considered in a new assignment when teaching under a different license that she/he has not previously taught under during her/his employment in the district and further provided that she/he was not involuntarily transferred into the new licensed position.

A new assignment shall be defined as the first year working under a different educator’s license.
