Diesel mode indicator. In the case where a dual-fuel engine of Type 1B, Type 2B, or Type 3B is type approved as a separate technical unit, the ability of the engine system to command the activation of the diesel mode indicator when operating in diesel mode shall be demonstrated at type approval. In the case where a dual-fuel vehicle of Type 1B, Type 2B, or Type 3B is type approved in respect of its engine, the activation of the diesel mode indicator when operating in diesel mode shall be demonstrated at type approval. Note: Demonstration requirements related to the diesel mode indicator in the case of the installation of a type approved Type 1B, Type 2B, or Type 3B dual-fuel engine in a vehicle are specified in paragraph 6.2. of this annex.
