Difficulty paying your rent Sample Clauses

Difficulty paying your rent. You must inform the Council immediately if you have any difficulty paying your rent. We can support you to get back on track. You cannot be evicted from your home without a court order. If you do not pay your rent, or repeatedly pay it late, we may apply to the court for a possession order as per the Housing Xxx 0000 and 1996. This could result in your tenancy ending and everyone living in your home being evicted. We can ask the court that you pay the Council’s legal costs. Utilities include your gas, electric, water, sewerage provisions and council tax. The Council reserves the right to deduct money for rent, former tenant arrears, or outstanding court Costs from any money paid to you by the Council as your landlord, for example, as compensation for damage to your property or decorations, or for home loss and disturbance.
