DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP. Xxxxx-Xxxxxxxx Community School Corporation aims to educate holistically, developing students to become lifelong learners and productive members of society. DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP. Digital citizenship is about knowing how the Internet works, accessing and navigating digital media, and exercising responsible behavior that keeps you safe and keeps your on- line identity secure. Acceptable Use Agreement (AUA): Each MCMS student (and parent/guardian) accepts and signs an OPUSD Acceptable Use Agreement (AUA) for regulating electronic devices and technology pertaining to school. The current version of the Student Technology AUP was adopted by the OPUSD Governing Board on March 20, 2018. Refer to pages 20-23 for AUA. The signed agreement must be on file with the school corporation before the student may use the Internet at school or with school corporation-owned technology devices including district issued laptops, iPads, and MiFi hotspots. DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP. The District’s overall code of conduct applies to the use of digital tools for all purposes. When online, users should work towards creating a positive online presence, and they are expected to abide by the generally accepted rules of network etiquette. These rules include but are not limited to the following:  Users will be polite.  Users will use appropriate language. Verbal or written language that is considered inappropriate in the classroom is also inappropriate in all uses of technology.  Users will comply with District Policy 4675 and Administrative Regulation 4675-R, Copyright.  Student users will not reveal personal addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal information, for themselves or others.  Staff users will not reveal personal addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal information, for students, or colleagues.  Users will not give their username or password to any other person, or use the username or password of someone else to access any part of the system.
