Common use of Direct Billing to Tenant Clause in Contracts

Direct Billing to Tenant. At Landlord’s option, Landlord may cause Real Estate Taxes and Utilities Charges, or portions thereof, to be billed directly to Tenant. In such case, Tenant agrees to pay all of such amounts promptly when due and shall be responsible for any interest or penalty as a result of the delinquent payment thereof as well as any loss suffered by Landlord as a result of such delinquency. Within ten (10) business days after Landlord’s request made from time to time at Landlord’s discretion, Tenant shall provide evidence reasonably satisfactory to Landlord (such as in the form of receipts marked as paid) that all of such Real Estate Taxes and Utility Charges separately billed to Tenant are current without delinquency.
