Common use of Discharge of Liens Clause in Contracts

Discharge of Liens. If any mechanic's or materialman's lien is filed against the Premises as a result of any work or act of the Contractor, the Contractor shall discharge the lien within twenty (20) days after the filing of the lien. In addition to any other remedies available to the Authority, if the Contractor fails to discharge the lien, the Authority may bond or pay the lien or claim for the account of the Contractor without inquiring into the validity thereof. The Contractor is required to reimburse the Authority for any funds so spent by the Authority.
