Common use of Discharge of Patients Clause in Contracts

Discharge of Patients. If a transferred patient is discharged by the Assisting Entity, the Assisting Entity will return to the Affected Entity any original medical records, including x-ray films, transferred with the patient. If the Affected Entity is not then able to receive the returned medical records, the Assisting Entity will retain the records in the Assisting Entity’s records department until requested by the Affected Entity.
