Disciplinary Hearing Process. 1. A regular full-time employee who has (1) successfully passed his/her probationary period and (2) who is suspended from work without pay or who is discharged, is entitled to a disciplinary hearing upon his/her request in writing to the Chief of Police, if made within ten calendar days of the suspension or discharge. This disciplinary hearing and the appeal process is not available to a probationary employee. 2. A disciplinary hearing shall be held before the Chief of University Police. 3. The officer will be given an opportunity to explain his/her actions.
