Common use of Distribution System Fault Contributions Clause in Contracts

Distribution System Fault Contributions. To the extent that there is generation on the Distribution System that, in the reasonable judgment of either Party, may contribute material amounts of current to a fault on the Transmission System, Local Distribution Company shall have and enforce standards to ensure the provision, installation and maintenance of relays, circuit breakers, and all other devices necessary to remove promptly any fault contribution of such generation to any short circuit occurring on the Transmission System and not otherwise isolated by the Transmission Owner equipment. Such protective equipment shall include, a disconnecting device or switch with load interrupting capability to be located between the generation and the Transmission System at an accessible, secure, and satisfactory site selected upon mutual agreement of the Parties. Transmission Owner shall not be responsible for protection of such generation.
