Common use of Duties of the Depositary Clause in Contracts

Duties of the Depositary. The Director-General shall be the Depositary of this Agreement. The Depositary shall: (a) send certified copies of this Agreement to each Member and Associate Member of FAO and to such non-member States as may become party to this Agreement; (b) arrange for the registration of this Agreement, upon its entry into force, with the Secretariat of the United Nations in accordance with Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations; (c) inform each Member and Associate Member of FAO and any non-member States as may become Party to this Agreement of: (i) instruments of acceptance deposited in accordance with Article X; (ii) the date of entry into force of this Agreement in accordance with Article XI; (iii) proposals for and the entry into force of amendments to this Agreement in accordance with Article XIII; (iv) withdrawals from this Agreement pursuant to Article XIV.
