Duties of the Superintendent. A. No ASD resources may be used in the performance of this additional work and the Superintendent shall take annual leave to perform any work which prevents him from attending to ASD responsibilities. C. The Superintendent is responsible for his work schedule; however, the Superintendent hereby acknowledges that the proper performance of his ASD duties will include some work outside of normal school hours, over weekends, and during school holidays. When the Superintendent is not available in person or by telephone, he must designate an administrator in-charge, and inform the Board President and other appropriate administrators of that designation. D. The Superintendent shall organize and arrange for all meetings of the Board, and shall attend all such meetings unless excused by the Board President. E. The Superintendent shall comply with all applicable statutes, ordinances, and regulations, the Code of Ethics of the Professional Teaching Practices Commission, and the policies of the Board. F. By signing this agreement, the Superintendent subscribes to the following Oath of Office: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Alaska and that I will faithfully discharge my duties as Superintendent to the best of my ability.

The Superintendent agrees that at all times while he/she is employed pursuant to this Contract he/she will fully meet the minimum qualifications for the ASDposition of Superintendent and will maintain a Superintendent license from the State of Indiana. The Superintendent shall operate and arrange for manage JCSC in accordance with the policies of the Board and all applicable federal, state and local laws and ordinances. Superintendent shall perform his/her duties in a competent and professional manner. Superintendent or his/her designee, acceptable to the Board, shall attend all meetings of the Board. The duties of the Superintendent shall include, and shall attend but not be limited to, • supervising all such meetings unless excused by employees of JCSC; • making recommendation to the Board President. The Superintendent shall comply as to the selection, assignment, promotion, discipline, retention, reduction in force, non-renewal, or terminations of all personnel of JCSC, subject to final approval of the Board; • insuring compliance with all applicable statutes, ordinances, federal and regulations, state laws and regulations concerning education and Board policy; • performing all duties normally assigned to the Code Superintendent of Ethics of the Professional Teaching Practices Commission, a public school system; and the policies • performing all other duties reasonably assigned to a Superintendent of the Board. The Superintendent shall comply with all applicable statutes, ordinances, and regulations, the Code of Ethics of the Professional Teaching Practices Commissionlaw, and the policies of the Board. F. Superintendent represents and warrants that Superintendent holds a valid Indiana superintendent’s license. Superintendent shall maintain said license in good standing throughout the Contract Term. Should said license be revoked, suspended or become invalid, this Contract shall automatically be terminated without any requirement of further notice or hearing.

The parties to this Addendum further agree that the duties performed by the Superintendent subscribes pursuant to this Addendum are unique to this position for the Employer and the Superintendent will therefore not be transferred or reassigned by the Employer to another position without the Superintendent’s written consent which shall not be unreasonably delayed or withheld. The Superintendent agrees at all times while employed pursuant to this Addendum to fully meet the minimum qualifications for the position of a superintendent as required by law. The Superintendent shall execute the responsibilities of the position of superintendent by following and applying at all times the highest professional and ethical guidelines and standards. The Superintendent is generally expected to devote full attention to the following Oath of Office: I duties with the Employer, but the Superintendent may undertake consulting work, speaking engagements, writing, lecturing or other professional duties and obligations provided that such activities do solemnly swear (not interfere or affirm) that I will support and defend conflict with meeting the Constitution of responsibilities as a superintendent. The Superintendent shall notify the United States and the Constitution of the State of Alaska and that I will faithfully discharge my duties as Superintendent Board or its designee prior to the best performance of my abilitythese activities that involve attention during normal working hours. It is understood that the Superintendent currently participates on boards for The Xxxxxxx Group and UA Regents, and also is a Commissioner with the Education Commissions of the States and the Board approves her continuing to do so during her term as Superintendent, in accord with this paragraph. The Superintendent is responsible for his her work schedule; however, the Superintendent hereby acknowledges that the proper performance of his her ASD duties will include some work outside of normal school hours, over weekends, and during school holidays. When the Superintendent is not available in person or by telephone, he she must designate an administrator administrator-in-charge, and inform the Board President and other appropriate administrators of that designation. D. The Superintendent shall organize and arrange for all meetings of the Board, and shall attend all such meetings unless excused by the Board President. E. The Superintendent shall comply with all applicable statutes, ordinances, and regulations, the Code of Ethics of the Professional Teaching Practices Commission, and the policies of the Board. F.
