Edging and Trimming. All hard-edged areas (curbs, sidewalks, bike paths, trails, etc.) shall be vertically edged at each and every mowing event and soft-edged areas (tree rings, shrub and groundcover bed lines) shall be edged a minimum of every other week. All edging shall be performed to the sole satisfaction of the DISTRICT. Chemical edging shall not be permitted anywhere on property. AT NO TIME SHALL LAWN BE ALLOWED TO GROW IN AN UNSIGHTLY MANNER. SHOULD THIS OCCUR, CONTRACTOR AGREES TO CORRECT WITHIN TWENTY-FOUR HOURS OF NOTICE BY DISTRICT. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLETE ALL LAWN MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES (MOWING, EDGING, LINE TRIMMING, BLOWING OFF SIDEWALKS, DRIVEWAYS, CURB & GUTTERS, ETC.) IN RELATIVELY SMALL, MANAGEABLE SECTIONS. CONTRACTOR IS NOT TO LEAVE GRASS CLIPPINGS, TRIMMED WEEDS, TURF, DIRT OR DEBRIS ON ANY SURFACES FOR MORE THAN TWO HOURS. PARK SITES, CLUBHOUSES, PARKING LOTS AND ALL OTHER HIGH TRAFFIC AMENITIES ON THE PROPERTY SHALL BE CLEANED UP IMMEDIATELY AFTER MOWING AND EDGING TAKES PLACE. IF A MOWING EVENT IS MISSED, EVERY EFFORT SHALL BE MADE TO PERFORM THE MOWING SERVICE THE SAME WEEK (INCLUDING SATURDAYS WITH PRIOR APPROVAL). IF THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE THE DISTRICT A CREDIT FOR FUTURE SERVICES OR ADD A MOWING EVENT TO BE PROVIDED AT A LATER DATE. THE DISTRICT SHALL DETERMINE WHETHER THE CREDIT OR EXTRA MOWING SHALL BE USED.
Edging and Trimming. 3.1 Grass adjacent to fixed objects, shall be trimmed to the same height as the general turf. Trimming is to be done so that turf areas are not scalped. 3.2 Contractor will edge tree rings and plant beds, and all buildings, sidewalks, fences, driveways, parking lots, and other surfaced areas bordered by grass as needed during the growing season. 3.3 Native grasses and other plantings will not be damaged during turf trimming. 3.4 Contractor will clean all clippings from sidewalks, curbs, pavers, roadways and markers after mowing and/or edging. Contractor will not sweep, blow or otherwise dispose of clippings in sewer drains. 3.5 Contractor will ensure that grass clippings do not build up in the planter beds or other trail landscape elements.
Edging and Trimming. Turf areas adjacent to hardscaped areas such as walks, drives, and curbs shall be bi-weekly with a steel blade edger. The edging shall not allow the turf to mound up or invade any shrub beds, sidewalks, asphalt, or other hardscaped areas. Tree ▇▇▇▇▇, irrigation boxes, and any structures within the turf areas shall be string trimmed to present a “detailed” appearance. Chemical applications of herbicides may be necessary if mechanical edging is injurious to existing plant material. All materials applied shall be blown off any hardscapes to prevent staining. Shovel cutting shall be done in the Spring. Hard edges to be done every other week.
Edging and Trimming. 1. Contractor shall trim and properly edge all shrubs and flower bed as well as tree rings, curbs, walks, lighting and all other obstacles in the landscape. 2. Paved areas (hard edges) shall be edged every mowing with respect to the turf type adjacent to the edging. 3. Edging of beds and tree rings (soft edging) shall be executed every mowing with respect to the turf type adjacent to the edging. 4. Particular care should be taken when edging softball/baseball fields. 5. Damage to property or existing vegetation caused by improper trimming or edging shall be repaired or replaced within 48 hours at the Provider’s expense.
Edging and Trimming. 4.1 Turf Grass Edging All turf shall be edged adjacent to all improved surfaces so that the foliage is maintained within the turf area. Any overgrowth into improved surfaces such as curbs, gutter areas, or sidewalks shall be removed once every two (2) weeks. Gutters and fence lines may be neatly sprayed to a maximum of a six inch (6”) width with Round-Up herbicide or equal.
Edging and Trimming a. Adjacent walks, curbs, paved areas, buildings, shrubs, trees and other miscellaneous objects in ground cover areas shall be edged as needed to maintain a neat, clean, well-defined edge. b. A four (4”) to six (6”) inch bare dirt clearance shall be maintained around the circumference of all trees, shrubs, signs, etc. in ground cover and adjacent building structures. c. The use of growth retardants is acceptable with prior approval from KRC.

  • Blasting Blasting shall be permitted only for road construction purposes unless advance permission is obtained from Forest Service. Whenever the Industrial Fire Precaution Level is II or greater, a fire security person equipped with a long handled round point No. 0 or larger shovel and a 5 gallon backpack pump can filled with water, will stay at location of blast for 1 hour after blasting is done. Blasting may be suspended by Forest Service, in areas of high rate of spread and resistance to control. Fuses shall not be used for blasting. Explosive cords shall not be used without permission of Forest Service, which may specify conditions under which such explosives may be used and precautions to be taken.
