Educational Conferences. If the Hospital sends a nurse to attend an 9 educational conference, the nurse will be paid for any of their regularly scheduled hours 10 lost as a result thereof at their regular rate of pay, and the Hospital will reimburse the 11 nurse for reasonable out-of-pocket expenditures.

Educational Conferences. The Superintendent/Designee may approve requests of support professionals to attend educational conferences or workshops at no loss of pay with said conference or workshop expenses paid by the District. Excepting the summer Bucks County IU in-service program, conference attendance shall be limited to ten members per year. The District shall pay for the registration cost of secretarial employees to attend the summer IU in-service program. The Athletic Trainers will be reimbursed for the cost of travel, lodging, registration and meals for attendance at the annual National Athletic Trainers Association conference.
Educational Conferences. Teachers, who attend educational conferences at the District’s expense, shall, if requested, prepare and deliver a presentation to other groups or individuals. Every effort will be made, in advance of the conference, to inform the participant of the expected method and audience.
Educational Conferences. Caregivers may submit requests for continuing education to their leader. The requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, typically within two weeks of submission. If funds are provided, the caregiver may request reimbursement for registration and airfare prior to the conference. Delegates who desire other accommodations shall pay the difference in costs. The District will pay minimum transit or taxi fare and gratuities. There shall be no reimbursement for expenses unless the delegate attends the entire conference. The best candidate should be selected to represent the district. Travel is not to be considered a benefit or honor to be passed around, but rather an opportunity to enable one who has evidenced professional interest and ability to collect and present to his associates the benefits of his experiences. Claims for reimbursement must be accompanied by evidence of expenditures. Claims must not exceed verified expenditures or scheduled allowances.

Educational Conferences. The SAU agrees to appropriate two thousand dollars ($2,000) per contract year for members of the clerical staff to attend the New Hampshire Association of Educational Office Professionals (NHAEOP) Conference held in May. Approval of the number attending the conference will be determined by the Superintendent of Schools. Unused monies in the course reimbursement account as of March 1st will be available for the NHAEOP Conference.

Educational Conferences. (a) A one (1) day’s leave each year or a two (2) day’s leave every other year shall be granted each employee for attendance at educational conferences related to his/her teaching field. Said leave shall be with full pay. (b) Requests for professional educational conference leave shall be submitted in writing and channeled through the Principal to the Superintendent. Said requests shall be submitted at least one (1) week prior to the conference. (c) Reimbursement for a one (1) day conference shall be for travel at the rate allowable by the IRS for authorized private vehicle use and registration fees. (d) Reimbursement for a two (2) day conference shall be expenses for lodging (only if the location of the conference is more than 75 miles from the District’s Administrative Office) not to exceed sixty-five ($65) dollars, plus the rate allowable by the IRS for authorized private vehicle use, and registration fees. (e) A discussion with the Principal regarding the conference shall take place within five (5) school days after the employee return. If the principal deems it worthy, the employee must submit a written report of the conference. (f) The administration reserves the right to deny requests for educational conferences if the number of said requests on any given day shall prohibit effective operation of the school.

Credits will be applicable to the professional growth program if the cost for the conference, 25 including travel, is paid for by the unit member. 27 3. Verification shall consist of a fee statement, program of activities or registration receipt and 28 shall be presented to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources within seven (7) 29 working days following the conference, except when sick leave, vacation or an emergency 30 leave intervenes. If these documents are not available, a one-page outline of the activity shall 31 be submitted for acceptance of credit. 33 4. Educational conferences will provide (.25) professional growth credits for each six hours of 34 participation.
