Educational Expenses. MRMC agrees to reimburse Resident for expenses Resident actually incurs in attending a continuing medical education seminar, taking certification exams, or procuring education materials (the "Educational Expenses") in the following amounts: (a) up to Seven Hundred Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($750.00) during PGYI; (b) up to One Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($1,000.00) during PGYII; and (c) up to One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($1,250.00) during PGYIII. Educational Expenses include, but are not limited to, expenses associated with Resident's travel, lodging, and procurement of educational materials; provided, however, pre-approval by the Program Director of the Educational Expenses is a pre-condition of the payment or reimbursement by MRMC. If Resident does not use the amount set forth above during any Program Year for which such was allocated, any unused amount may be carried forward into the following Program Year. Any such amount that remains unused following Resident's completion of the Program, or as a result of the termination or expiration of this Agreement, shall be retained by MRMC. Reimbursement for Educational Expenses is subject to the then current ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Health CME and Professional Expense Allowance Policy (“CME Policy”), the current version of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Attachment B-1 and may be amended from time to time; provided, however, in the event of any inconsistency between the terms of the CME Policy and the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement, the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall prevail with respect to the subject matter thereof.
Educational Expenses. Where an employee is undertaking, at the requirement of the employer, studies towards qualifications relevant to their work, the employer will reimburse all actual and reasonable expenses incurred including course fees, travel and accommodation.

Educational Expenses. Decisions concerning attendance at conferences, conventions or other meetings at City expense will be made by the Chief or designee. Permission for such shall be granted on the basis of an employee’s participation in the meeting or the direct relation of their work to the subject matter of a meeting. The employee’s reasonable actual lodging and travel expenses shall be paid by the City for an employee required to attend a conference or business meeting when said conference or business meeting is held at locations other than the employee’s regular job location. Meal expense shall be in accordance with the IRS per diem rates unless special arrangements are made to reimburse reasonable actual costs. The City shall pay a tuition and instructional material costs for any employee required by the City to attend a regular course of instruction. An employee who voluntarily attends a course of instruction that is directly related to their duties may receive tuition and instructional material costs reimbursement from the City upon successful completion of the course and if prior authorization for reimbursement has been obtained. The cost per credit hour may not exceed the rate currently established for Oregon State University Undergraduate program. Total payment for books and other required supplies may not exceed $100.00 per class. For the purpose of encouraging employees to pursue an education related to their employment, the City may afford employees time off during regular working hours to attend courses approved in advance by the Chief or designee. This section shall not apply to the first class taken each fiscal year by police officers receiving education incentive pay under Section 38. Officers participating in the PIP shall bear the cost of the first class taken each fiscal year.
