Common use of Effective Date and Initial Term Clause in Contracts

Effective Date and Initial Term. This Agreement will be effective on the first business day after it has been executed by: (a) Municipal Parties representing at least seventy-five percent (75%) of the population of Broward County; and (b) County (“Effective Date”). This Agreement begins on the Effective Date and continues for a period that ends forty (40) years after the Effective Date (“Initial Term”). Subject to Articles 3 and 17, no Party may terminate or otherwise withdraw from this Agreement during the Initial Term.
