Common use of Email Fraud Clause in Contracts

Email Fraud. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to protect yourself and to be vigilant against email fraud and other internet frauds and schemes (including, without limitation, fraud commonly referred to as “phishing”). You acknowledge that we will never contact you by email in order to ask for or to verify account numbers, Access Credentials, or any sensitive or confidential information. In the event you receive an email or other electronic communication that you believe, or have reason to believe, is fraudulent, you agree not to respond to the email, provide any information to the email sender, click on any links in the email, or otherwise comply with any instructions in the email. You should forward any suspected fraudulent or suspicious email to xxxxxxxx@xxxxxxx.xxx or as we otherwise may direct. You agree that we are not responsible for any losses, injuries, or harm you may incur as a result of any electronic, email, or internet fraud, subject to the requirements of applicable law.
