Emergency and Required Expenditures. Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement to the contrary, Operator is hereby authorized to conduct operations and incur expenses that in its opinion are reasonably necessary to safeguard life, property, and the environment in case of an actual or imminently threatened blowout, explosion, accident, fire, flood, storm, hurricane, catastrophe, or other emergency, and the expenses shall be borne by the Participating Parties in the affected operation.
