Emergency Modifications in Calendar, Length of School Day. Subd. 1. In the event of energy shortage, severe weather, or other exigency, the School District reserves the right to modify the school calendar and, if school is closed on a normal duty day(s), the teacher shall perform duties on such other day(s) in lieu thereof as the School Board or its designated representative shall determine, if any. 2. In the event of energy shortage, severe weather, or other exigency, the School District further reserves the right to modify the length of the school day, as the School District shall determine, but with the understanding that the total number of hours shall not be increased, i.e., a four (4) day week with increased hours per day but the total weekly hours not more than the regular five (5) day week.
