Employees Promoted to a Higher Paying Classification. Any employee who is promoted on a permanent basis to a classification that provides for a higher rate of pay to that which was paid to the employee at the time of their promotion, shall be paid at the first increment step in the classification that the employee was promoted to that provides for an increase in pay for the employee.
