Common use of Employment Taxes and Benefits Clause in Contracts

Employment Taxes and Benefits. Vendor agrees to pay all necessary employment taxes required by law. Vendor Personnel will not be entitled to receive any vacation or illness payments, or to participate in any plans, arrangements, or distributions by the State of Iowa pertaining to any pension, insurance or similar benefits for the State of Iowa employees. In addition, Vendor agrees that it will provide for Workers’ Compensation, unemployment, and all other coverage required under applicable local, state or federal law. Vendor further agrees that it will defend (including payment of all attorneys’ fees) and indemnify the State of Iowa against any claim asserted against the State of Iowa for Vendor’s failure to comply with its obligations under this paragraph.
