Energy Plans Sample Clauses
The 'Energy Plans' clause defines the terms and conditions under which energy supply arrangements are established between the parties. It typically outlines the types of energy plans available, such as fixed-rate or variable-rate options, and specifies how rates, usage limits, and billing cycles are determined. This clause ensures both parties have a clear understanding of their obligations and entitlements regarding energy consumption, helping to prevent disputes and promote transparency in the management of energy costs.
Energy Plans. Your Agreement may include an Energy Plan. An Energy Plan generally includes benefits for a limited time such as 12 or 24 months. Your Agreement will continue after the expiry of your Energy Plan, but the benefits of the Energy Plan will end when the Energy Plan ends. We’ll do our best to let you know when your Energy Plan is about to end. We may give you another Energy Plan or you can contact us to discuss the Energy Plans we have available at that time. As your Energy Plan is part of your Agreement, it will also end when this Agreement ends. If we withdraw your Energy Plan from sale, we may end your Energy Plan by giving you at least 20 Business Days notice so long as: • we offer you another energy plan with similar benefits which is not detrimental to you; or • ending the Energy Plan would not be detrimental to you. If we offer you another energy plan as set out above and you do not let us know within 20 Business Days that you do not want to take up that energy plan, we’ll consider you have agreed to that new energy plan. It will then apply and become part of this Agreement.
Energy Plans a) If your Agreement includes a fixed term Energy Plan, then we’ll let you know what your options are before your Energy Plan ends in accordance with Laws.
b) If your Energy Plan has no fixed term, it can end in accordance with your Energy Plan terms and these Agreement Terms.
c) Regardless of whether you are on a fixed term or ongoing Energy Plan, if you don’t agree to a new Energy Plan when your Energy Plan ends, your Agreement will continue without any Energy Plan benefits.
Energy Plans a) Some of our Energy Plans have discounts, rebates, credits or benefits that are ongoing and do not have an end date. Other Energy Plans offer discounts, rebates, credits or benefits that are for a limited or fixed term, which won’t be less than 12 months (except for one-off sign-up rebates or credits). We won’t change any discount, rebate, credit or benefit during a limited or fixed term.
b) Except for one-off sign-up rebates or credits, if you are in Victoria, your Agreement with us will last as long as any discount, rebate, credit or other financial benefit under your Energy Plan lasts. This means that, when your discount, rebate, credit or other financial benefit ends, this Agreement ends too. But, if Energy Plan includes a non-financial benefit that is for a fixed or limited term, your Agreement will continue even after that benefit ends, but without that benefit.
c) In NSW, Queensland and SA, your Agreement with us is ongoing, and continues even after a discount, rebate, credit or any other financial or non- financial benefit under your Energy Plan ends, but without that benefit.
Energy Plans. Your Agreement may include an Energy Plan. An Energy Plan generally includes benefits or features. Most Energy Plans are for a limited time such as 12 or 24 months. But we also have some Energy Plans which don’t have an end date – they continue until you or we end them. See the Details section for more information. We’ll write to you before your Energy Plan is due to end. If you don’t agree to a new Energy Plan when your Energy Plan ends: • if you are in Victoria and this Agreement is a Fixed Term Agreement, your Agreement with us will end (see clause 18 for details of what happens then); and • in all other circumstances, your Agreement will continue without Energy Plan benefits. Alternatively, we may offer to extend your existing Energy Plan (and the Agreement if it is a Fixed Term Agreement) or offer you a new Energy Plan. If so, if you don’t let us know that you don’t want to take up the extended or new Energy Plan within the timeframe stated in our notice, we’ll consider you have agreed to it. The extended or new Energy Plan will then apply and become part of this Agreement. As your Energy Plan is part of your Agreement, it will also end when this Agreement ends. We can also end your Energy Plan: • if you were using energy for domestic purposes at the time you entered into it and you start using energy for business purposes during the Energy Plan Period; • if you were using energy for business purposes at the time you entered into it and you start using energy for domestic purposes during the Energy Plan Period; or • if we withdraw your Energy Plan from sale, by giving you at least 20 Business Days’ notice so long as: - we offer you similar benefits or features, through an energy plan or other means (e.g. a once off credit) and you are not worse off; or - ending the Energy Plan would not be detrimental to you. If you end your Energy Plan before you become entitled to a benefit you will not receive that benefit. For example, if we offer you an account credit on condition that you remain on the Energy Plan for a period of time and you end it before the end of that period, you will not receive the account credit.
