Common use of Enforcement and Cessation of Dues Clause in Contracts

Enforcement and Cessation of Dues. ‌ Any academic employee who is paying dues may stop making those payments by giving written notice to the Union during the period not less than thirty (30) and not more than forty-five (45) days before the annual anniversary date of the academic employee’s authorization; the Federation will notify the College of any changes in the status of an employee’s checkoff authorization. The College will honor the academic employee’s checkoff authorization unless it is revoked in writing during the window period, regardless of whether the academic employee is a member of the Federation.
