Environment, Sustainability and Social Value. The Supplier shall ensure that all Vehicles must meet appropriate European Union (EU) directives for Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions. The minimum current standard is Euro 4 (2006 registration) unless otherwise specified by Contracting Authorities at Competition stage. The Supplier may be requested to provide evidence of compliance with the requirements specified by Transport for London for the London Emission Zone (LEZ). The Supplier shall, where requested by Contracting Authorities, work with the Contracting Authorities to identify opportunities to introduce innovation, reduce cost and waste and ensure sustainable development is at the heart of their operations. The Supplier shall ensure that they consider the relevance of sustainability at all lifecycle stages of the Services provided under this DPS Agreement. This includes consideration of commercial needs, minimisation of negative impacts and the maximisation of positive impacts on society and the environment. The Supplier shall comply with each of the following Government standards (hyperlinked) for the duration of this DPS Agreement:

Environment, Sustainability and Social Value. The Supplier shall ensure compliance with Government Buying Standards (GBS) for Cleaning Products and Services. The standards can be found following this link: Sustainable procurement: the GBS for cleaning products and services Buyers may request suppliers hold a recognised Eco/sustainability ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ for example Ecolabel, carbon neutral certification ISO14001 Environmental Management. The Supplier shall work with Buyers to identify ways to minimise the cleaning activities impact on the environment. The Supplier shall comply with relevant future Government requirements and standards in accordance with any Government guidance issued during the DPS Contract Period and as developed and updated, from time to time. The Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 requires public authorities to have regard to economic, social and environmental wellbeing in connection with public Services contracts and for connected purposes as well as allowing for national and local strategies around this area. If required at Call-Off stage, the Supplier shall be required to identify as an optional variant the social value initiatives it proposes as proportionate and relevant to the Call-Off Contract and shall be responsible for recording and reporting performance against agreed Social Value scorecards Social Value Act: introductory guide
