Environmental Aspects. (1) In pursuit of sustainable development and taking into account its obligations under those international agreements concerning the environment to which it is party, each Contracting Party shall strive to minimize in an economically efficient manner harmful Environmental Impacts occurring either within or outside its Area from all operations within the Energy Cycle in its Area, taking proper account of safety. In doing so each Contracting Party shall act in a Cost-Effective manner. In its policies and actions each Contracting Party shall strive to take precautionary measures to prevent or minimize environmental degradation. The Contracting Parties agree that the polluter in the Areas of Contracting Parties, should, in principle, bear the cost of pollution, including transboundary pollution, with due regard to the public interest and without distorting Investment in the Energy Cycle or international trade. Contracting Parties shall accordingly:

Environmental Aspects. 1. Each Party shall: (a) take account of environmental considerations, inaccordance with its laws and regulations,throughout the process of formulation andimplementation of its policy on energy andmineral resources; (b) encourage favourable conditions for the transferand dissemination of technologies that contributeto the protection of environment, consistent withthe adequate and effective protection ofintellectual property rights; and (c) promote public awareness of environmental impactsof activities related to energy and mineralresources and of the scope for and the costsassociated with the prevention or abatement ofsuch impacts.

Environmental Aspects. The project and all of the plant therein shall comply with the environmental guidelines contained within the “Geothermal Energy” section of the latest version of the “Industrial Pollution Preventions and Abatement Handbook” published by the World Bank Environment Department in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation and United Nations Environmental Programme current at the relevant Determining Date of this Agreement, except where KPLC provides written agreement to variations or where other more onerous environmental requirements are imposed within this Agreement pursuant to a Change in Law. All equipment will be designed and constructed to minimise the environmental impact. The Seller shall give consideration to visual impact, wildlife habitat and temporary disturbance during construction, maintenance and operation. The Seller will produce and abide by a detailed statement on the manner in which the construction and operation will avoid or mitigate adverse effects on the environment including the aspects listed below which have been identified as requiring specific attention. Seller shall be especially sensitive to the National Park status of the land within which the Licence Area is located.
Environmental Aspects. Members shall give due consideration to the sustainable management of coffee resources and processing, bearing in mind the principles and objectives on sustainable development agreed at the Eighth Session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development.
Environmental Aspects. The exact specification of the dishware in the application is binding. Disposable, plastic or paper plates are not permitted. Reusable utensils are required (e.g. china, glass etc.). In case of any violation, UBA is entitled to terminate the contract without compensation claims arising from the vendor. Administrative penalties and costs arising from the non- compliance of the dishes use shall be borne by the tenant. Beverages may only be served in reusable containers. Disposable packaging (incl. bottles) must be charged with a deposit when sold. The vendor must ensure the dispose of packaging (incl. disposable bottles) on his own. UBA reserves the right to ban the sale of bottles. In that case the content must be poured into reusable cups charged with a deposit.
Environmental Aspects. All equipment shall be designed and constructed to minimise the environmental impact. Seller shall give consideration to visual impact, wildlife and temporary disturbance during construction, maintenance and operation. The project shall comply with the World Bank Environmental Guidelines current at the Effective Date. The Seller shall obtain and hold all licenses relating to environmental impact. The responsibility for obtaining, holding and complying with the terms of any such licenses will rest with the Seller only.
Environmental Aspects. An ongoing procedure shall be in place to identify environmental aspects associated with Imation Camarillo's activities which Imation Camarillo can control. These significant aspects shall be considered in setting Imation Camarillo objectives and targets.
Environmental Aspects. The Borrower shall: (i) design, through its Environment and Urban Affairs Division, by December 31, 1991, measures for the purpose of improving safety in the transport of hazardous cargoes and to reduce automotive pollution; and (ii) prepare, by June 30, 1992, a plan satisfactory to the Bank, including a time-schedule, for the implementation of such measures, and thereafter carry out such action plan.
