Common use of Environmental Clearances and Compliance Clause in Contracts

Environmental Clearances and Compliance. The Lessee shall duly comply with the provision of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 as may be amended from time to time and the rules made thereunder as also with other conditions which may from time to time be imposed by any concerned statutory authorities under the said Acts as regards the collection, treatment and disposal or discharge of effluent or waste or otherwise whatsoever and shall indemnify and keep indemnified the Lessor against the consequences of any breach or non-compliance of any such provision or condition as aforesaid.

The Lessee Licensee shall duly comply with the provision of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 as may be amended from time to time and the rules made thereunder as also with other conditions which may from time to time be imposed by any concerned statutory authorities under the said Acts as regards the collection, treatment and disposal or discharge of effluent or waste or otherwise whatsoever and shall indemnify and keep indemnified the Lessor against the consequences of any breach or non-compliance of any such provision or condition as aforesaid.
