Environmental (Type) Certification Basis. The regulatory basis for compliance with 14 CFR Part 34 is the effective amendment on the date of FAA certification. For 14 CFR Part 36, the regulatory basis for compliance is the effective amendment level on the date of application for the FAA type certificate or change to the type certificate. An applicant for a TC or STC must show that the airplane meets the applicable airworthiness standards, special conditions, fuel venting and exhaust emission standards of 14 CFR Part 34 and the noise standards of 14 CFR Part 36.
