EPA Energy Star Program Clause Samples

The EPA Energy Star Program clause requires that certain products, equipment, or systems provided under the contract meet the energy efficiency standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star program. In practice, this means that any appliances, lighting, or building materials specified must be certified as Energy Star compliant, ensuring they consume less energy than standard models. The core function of this clause is to promote energy conservation and reduce operational costs, while also supporting environmental sustainability goals.
EPA Energy Star Program. The Federal EPA in cooperation with manufacturers, continues a program to ▇▇▇▇▇▇ the manufacture of energy efficient equipment. New York State fully supports this effort and requires all products offered to comply with EPA Energy Star guidelines for energy efficiency. The State may discontinue use of and/or delete from contract selected products as mandated by any NYS energy legislation that is enacted during the term of this contract. The contractor shall have no recourse with the State for such discontinuance/deletion.
