Event Participation Sample Clauses
The Event Participation clause defines the terms and conditions under which individuals or entities may take part in a specified event. It typically outlines eligibility requirements, registration procedures, and participant obligations, such as adhering to event rules or codes of conduct. By clearly establishing the expectations and responsibilities of participants, this clause helps ensure orderly conduct and minimizes disputes during the event.

Event Participation. Work Package 3 is responsible for coordinating the participation of the CompBioMed consortium in various workshops and conferences. Events aligning with CompBioMed’s aims will be identified and highlighted to the project consortium. Where appropriate, attendance at events of significance will be coordinated to include a strong contingent of CompBioMed representatives. Events in the first year of the project that we will consider participating in include: • BioExcel, GROMACS hackathon 2016, 17 - 19 Oct 2016, Barcelona, Spain • BioExcel: workflow training for computational biomolecular research 20 - 21 Oct, 2016, Barcelona, Spain • e-COST OpenMultiMed MC meeting, 20-21 Oct 2016, Skopje, Macedonia • 1st Conference of the European Association of Systems Medicine (EASyM), 26th – 28 Oct 2016, Berlin, Germany • BioExcel all-hands meeting: 3-4 Nov 2016, Barcelona, Spain • Supercomputing 2016 (SC16), 14-17 Nov 2016, Utah, USA • E-CAM: Extended Software Development Workshop: Trajectory Sampling, 14- 25 Nov 2016, Traunkirchen, Austria • Symposium in Advanced Nanomaterials for Biomedical Applications, 20-21 Feb 2017, Sheffield, UK • The 5th International Conference on Computational and Mathematical Biomedical Engineering (CMBE17), 10 - 12 Apr 2017, Pittsburgh, USA • European HPC Summit Week 2017 (plus PRACEdays), 15 – 19 May 2017, Barcelona, Spain • Supercomputing 2017 (SC17), Denver, USA • ICCS2017, 12– 14 Jun 2017, Zürich, Switzerland • ISC2017, Jun 2017, Frankfurt, Germany In the first year of the project, we will have significant participation in the European HPC Summit Week 2017, 15th to 19th May 2017, Barcelona, Spain and ISC2017, 18th to 22nd June, Frankfurt, Germany. For this, we will be assisting with the reviewing of abstracts and the advertising of the event, and we have been allotted a dedicated session for CompBioMed in the PRACEdays Scientific Parallel Track on Tuesday May 16th 2017. Dissemination materials will be produced and made available at workshops and conferences such as Supercomputing, International Supercomputing, Virtual Physiological Human, and International Conference on Computational Science.
Event Participation a. The Event is a conference with teaching and activities based upon traditional Bible-based values and standards.
b. We may refuse to accept or retain anyone as a participant at anytime whenever, in our sole judgment, their behavior or conditions so warrants. In such case a proportionate refund will be made on the Registration Fee. No refund will be made for any airfare, hotel and/or other personal expenses.
Event Participation. Work Package 1 is responsible for coordinating the participation of the CompBioMed consortium in various workshops and conferences, where we will promote CompBioMed2 results and success stories for interested audiences, to encourage the development of the Computational Biomedicine community, and to raise awareness of the domain. Events aligning with CompBioMed’s aims will be identified and highlighted to the ▇▇▇ consortium. Where appropriate, attendance at events of significance will be coordinated to include a strong contingent of CompBioMed representatives. In addition to the foregoing dedicated events we will continue to ensure a significant presence through our Core Partners at important conferences and events within the (computational) biomedicine field. This will include partners’ involvement in the conference and partaking in the exhibition opportunities they offer. We will especially focus on biomedical conferences that could disseminate our work to those that, so far, may have had little contact with our field. These include European Society of Cardiology, European Heart Rhythm Association, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Conference on Cardiac Arrhythmia mechanics, BHF Centre of Research Excellence Annual Symposium, European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Conference on Drug Safety, World Congress of Biomechanics, European Congress of Biomechanics, the International Society of Biomechanics and Orthopaedic Research Society. In the field of HPC we will participate in Supercomputing, the International Supercomputing Conference, European Conference on Theoretical and Computational Chemistry and many more. We will pay particular attention to event organised by EuroHPC and EPI, including international conferences like EuroHPC Summit Week. The CompBioMed2 Consortium will actively participate in all the relevant activities organised by and for the Commission in the HPC, big data and e-infrastructure domains. Through WP6 (Task 6.1: Engagement), we will set up a booth at one selected international conference, where we will invite participants to join our community, exhibit available solutions, and provide information on how to engage with CompBioMed.
Event Participation. Even though the pandemic caused the cancellation of many events and prevented in-person events for most of the period, the CompBioMed consortium was extremely active in the first 25 months of CompBioMed2 in terms of event participation. Appendix 10.7 shows the full listing of event participation, which includes keynote presentations, invited talks, talks, posters, meetings, booths, and panel discussions. In total, a considerable 151 event participations were recorded during this period across 61 major events (listed below) among other smaller events and occurrences. The events ranged from conferences, workshops, seminars, webinars, birds-of-a-feather, meetings, and sessions. They targeted all of CompBioMed’s stakeholders: academia, industry, clinicians, the general public, policy makers, medias, customers, and investors. For more on the targeting of specific types of stakeholders, see Section 6.6. Below are the 61 major events that the CompBioMed consortium participated in during the period:
1. Supercomputing 2019 (SC)
2. FRAME 18th Annual Lecture 2019
3. American Heart Association Meeting 2019
4. International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence 2019 5. NeurIPS 2019
Event Participation. In the event that the Participant does not take part in the Brighton Marathon 2025, any sponsorship raised shall be treated as a donation. Refunds may be given to the sponsors, but they must contact St Barnabas House/ Chestnut Tree House directly to initiate the refund process.
