Common use of Except for Disputes Clause in Contracts

Except for Disputes. relating to issues of proprietary rights, including but not limited to intellectual property and confidentiality, any Dispute not resolved by amicable resolution as set forth in Section 6.1 will be finally settled by arbitration. Such arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") in Washington, D.C. and will be initiated and conducted in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules ("Commercial Rules") of the AAA, as such rules will be in effect on the date of delivery of a demand for arbitration ("Demand"), except to the extent that such rules are inconsistent with the provisions set forth herein.
