If excessive variation in the percent registration of a basic reference standard watthour meter or watthour meter standardization system is observed in the comparisons of C. or D. above, the source of the variation will be investigated. If the source of the variation cannot be corrected, then the use of this watthour meter or watthour meter standardization system as a basic reference standard will be discontinued.
