Exemption in certain circumstances. Subject to clause 4.7, The Department may, on request of the Licensee, grant exemptions from requirements set out in Schedule 1 – Drinking Water Quality Requirements, provided the proposed exemption does not compromise public health. In granting an exemption, the Department may specify the period of time during which the exemption is to apply and any other interim conditions that may apply. The Department shall consult the Licensee and the Advisory Committee for the Purity of Water before taking such action. Exemptions are set out in Schedule 3 – Exemptions.
