Existing Members Clause Samples
The "Existing Members" clause defines the rights, responsibilities, and status of individuals or entities who are already members of an organization, partnership, or group at the time a new agreement is made or amended. This clause typically outlines how these members are treated in relation to new members, such as whether their voting rights, ownership interests, or obligations remain unchanged or are subject to modification. It may also specify procedures for recognizing existing members and ensuring their continued participation. The core function of this clause is to protect the interests of current members and provide clarity on their standing, thereby preventing disputes or confusion when changes occur within the group.
