Common use of Extension of /or Additional Services Clause in Contracts

Extension of /or Additional Services. Any services exceeding the scope of work and cost of this Agreement and the approved initial Purchase Order, shall be mutually agreed to in advance by Owner and the Contractor, and shall be authorized by an approved Amendment to this Agreement prior to the Contractor proceeding with any additional work. Amendments to the Proposal may form the basis of an additional Purchase Order to cover additional services, or in an amendment to the existing purchase order, depending on circumstances and approval by the Owner. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to inform Owner in advance and in a timely manner when it is anticipated that any additional services will require modifications due to changes in the work. Owner is not responsible for work performed without the proper documentation and an approved amended purchase document.
