Extenuating Circumstances. The provisions of the national legislation of member States on extenuating circumstances shall apply to the offenses provided for in this Annex.

Extenuating Circumstances. In the case of extenuating circumstances the school director will consider a settlement that is reasonable and fair to the student and the school. Postponement of a starting date, whether at the request of the school or the student, requires a written agreement signed by the student and the school. The agreement must set forth:
Extenuating Circumstances. The prior approval requirement shall not apply to the following reasons:
1.) Death of a member of the immediate family. Requests granted under this section shall be in addition to those provided under Bereavement Leave of this Article.
2.) Accident or serious illness involving the unit member or his/her property, or the person or property of a member of the immediate family.
Extenuating Circumstances. 18.6.1.3.1 Where the Unit Member has students who have difficulty providing feedback on the prescribed forms, alternative methods of student evaluation may be selected by mutual agreement of the Unit Member and the Immediate Management Supervisor.
18.6.1.3.2 Where the Unit Member has students who are incapable of providing feedback or where a survey of students is clearly impractical, the requirement for administration of the Student Evaluation Forms may be waived by mutual agreement of the Unit Member and the Immediate Management Supervisor.
Extenuating Circumstances. If extenuating circumstances significantly delay leave activities or make it impossible for the faculty member to complete the sabbatical, the faculty member must meet with the college president and a representative of the Association to determine an appropriate leave of absence or other mutually agreed upon solution. (See Article 11 for other leaves of absence available.)
Extenuating Circumstances. If, due to the nature of the illness, it is impossible or impractical for the employee to provide advance notice of the illness and/or a physician’s statement regarding the illness, the employee will notify his or her immediate supervisor/designee of the situation when medically able to do so, and the employee will keep his or her immediate supervisor/designee advised of the situation until such time as a physician’s statement is delivered to the immediate supervisor/designee. The immediate supervisor shall be responsible for forwarding the physician's statement to the site administrative officer. The administrative officer will forward the information to the District Employee Benefits Office for inclusion in the employee's file.
Extenuating Circumstances. Where the Probationary Unit Member has students who have difficulty providing feedback on the prescribed forms, alternative methods of student evaluation may be selected by the Tenure Review Committee.

Courses must be completed within 12 months of enrollment date. If you are unable to complete your course within the initial 12-month period, then you may extend your course access for a fee of $50 per month, when allowed by the regulatory body. Students must contact AHIT within 30 days of expiration to obtain an extension. Access to the course after 30 days from initial expiration requires re- enrollment. A discounted fee of 50% of the original purchase price will be charged.1
