Extra Duty Stipend. 20.5.1 If the vacancy rate for all active Unit I positions during the regular school year (first day for staff of the new school year through the last day for staff in June) is more than 12%, each employee will receive a payment of $10 per day, up to a maximum of 185 days during the Aug/Sep through June period. The calculation of the vacancy rate will be based on the Special Education Master Staffing List maintained by the Special Education Administration staff. At each month end, starting with September 30, the daily vacancy rate will be reviewed and payment for the qualifying days will be made by the last payroll of the following month. This percentage will be the whole number not rounded. (Example: 12.7=12, and 9.4=9) If the Federation accurately identifies a posting for a position that is not reflected as a vacancy on the Special Education Master Staffing List, the employer will adjust the Master Staffing List back to the date the vacancy occurred.
Extra Duty Stipend. If, after submitting an irrevocable notice of retirement by July 1, the employee resigns from or is dismissed from duties for which the employee was paid a stipend or additional compensation for the previous year, the retirement incentive for that employee will be recalculated accordingly. During the year(s) in which the retiring teacher is receiving the retirement incentive, the Board shall not require or compel the teacher to perform additional duties which would otherwise increase the teacher’s compensable earnings.
Extra Duty Stipend. 15.2.1 The current extra duty stipend schedule is attached hereto as Appendix C. In the event the staff, Association or the Administration believe that a duty should be added to the current schedule, the following procedure shall be followed: 15.2.1.1 Any party, i.e., the staff, Association or the administration, may make a written proposal to the other briefly outlining the requested addition, including a suggested extra duty description, title, amount of stipend, and facts indicating a perceived need. 15.2.1.2 The staff, the Association and the administration shall then meet to discuss the suggested addition. 15.2.1.3 If the staff, the Association and the administration agree on the proposal, the proposal shall be submitted to the Governing Board for its consideration and possible action. If the parties are unable to agree on the proposal, each party may separately submit its proposal to the Governing Board for Governing Board consideration and possible action. 15.2.1.4 Any action of the Governing Board in establishing an extra duty stipend pursuant to the above shall be interim in nature. Regardless of outcome, the initial extra duty written proposal and result shall become an automatic part of the first negotiations that occur between the parties following the above process. 15.2.1.5 Extra duty involving management functions, e.g., Summer School Principal, Athletic Director, shall not be subject to this process.
Extra Duty Stipend. Extra duty stipends will be paid to those ESPs performing the duties indicated on the attached Addendum B. Supplemental pay as per Addendum B shall be paid each pay period.
Extra Duty Stipend. An employee may elect to receive any extra duty stipend provided in this agreement in the following ways; such payment shall be made in June, or in the next paycheck following the end of the season, or monthly in each check. The last payment will be held until all equipment is returned and all stipend responsibilities are fulfilled. Notice of such election shall be made in writing for the school year by the first day of the school year. (Approved Stipend Request Form attached) 3.4555 Coaching Positions Any in-district employees submitting a written request to fill an open coaching position will be given consideration for the position before any non-district employee. Employees being considered for the coaching position will be interviewed, and the employee deemed by the administration to have the best knowledge and experience in the area of the coaching position will be chosen for the position. If the administration determines that a non-district employee is more qualified than the in-district employee, the non-district employee will be considered for the coaching position. A non-district employee holding a position as a coach or an extracurricular activity sponsor cannot be bumped by a district employee unless deemed appropriate by the administration and the school board. The head coach of any extracurricular activity will be involved in the selection process for assistant coaching positions in their activity.
Extra Duty Stipend. For the 2007-2008 School year only, there will be a one time stipend distributed to all affected MBUs on the extra duty pay schedule. The stipend amount will be determined based on their index as illustrated in the chart below;
Extra Duty Stipend. Except in case of emergency, which shall be defined as a death or serious illness or serious injury, all new extra-duty assignments beyond the original assignments performed by the Teacher in the initial year of employment, with the exception of bus supervision, shall be made with the consent of the Teacher. Extra duty stipends will be paid to those Teachers performing the duties indicated on the attached Addendum B. Supplemental pay as per Addendum B shall be paid each pay period except for those duties not assigned by the beginning of the school year. In that case, payment will be made in a lump sum.
