Faculty Education. The University will provide a fund for faculty education of $45,000 per fiscal year for each year of this agreement for the payment of tuition for members of the bargaining unit. Bargaining unit members may apply each term for a grant from this fund to be used for enrollment in career-related PSU courses. Preference will be given to applicants taking courses applicable to the completion of an advanced degree. Requests will be completed by faculty, approved by the Union as to eligibility and amount, and forwarded to the Office of Academic Affairs for processing until funds are exhausted. Bargaining unit members shall submit one application for all courses in that academic term for which a grant is sought. If at the end of a given fiscal year all funds in this account are not expended, they will revert to the general fund. For courses attended pursuant to this section, members shall pay $24.00 per credit hour. Application for the Faculty Education funds is contained in Appendix D.

Related to Faculty Education

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Board of Education If the teacher or the Association is not satisfied with the decision at Stage 2, the teacher or the Grievance Committee will file an appeal in writing with the Board of Education within fifteen school days after receiving the decision at Stage 2.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Outreach and Education The agencies agree to coordinate, conduct joint outreach presentations, and prepare and distribute publications, when appropriate, for the regulated community of common concern. • The agencies agree to work with each other to provide a side-by-side comparison of laws with overlapping provisions and jurisdiction. • The agencies agree to provide a hyperlink on each agency’s website linking users directly to the outreach materials in areas of mutual jurisdiction and concern. • The agencies agree to jointly disseminate outreach materials to the regulated community, when appropriate. • All materials bearing the DOL or DOL/WHD name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by DOL. • All materials bearing the OEAS name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by OEAS.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies to be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, CAW, effective from date of ratification and sent by the Company to the following address: CAW Paid Education Leave Program, 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxx X0X 0X0.
