Faculty Selection Clause Samples

Faculty Selection. (a) The selection process for Faculty Members shall be in accordance with the hiring policies/procedures adopted by the Board of Trustees for Full-Time, Part-Time, and Temporary Faculty Members, attached hereto as Appendix M. (b) In the event the Academic Senate and the Board of Trustees change Appendix M in a manner that either the District or Federation believes significantly impacts working conditions covered by this Agreement, either the District or the Federation may, upon written notice to the other, reopen this Section 5.
Faculty Selection. (a) The selection process for Faculty Members shall be in accordance with the hiring policies/procedures adopted by the Board of Trustees for Full-Time, Part-Time, and Full-time Temporary Faculty Members, attached hereto as Appendices M-1 through M-3. (b) In the event the Academic Senate or the Board of Trustees seeks to change Appendices M-1 through M-3 in a manner that either the District or Federation believes impacts their bargaining rights and working conditions covered by this Agreement, either the District or the Federation may, upon written notice to the other, reopen this Section 5.
Faculty Selection. The hiring of faculty will follow the Joint Agreement on Hiring Policy between the College of the Sequoias Faculty Senate, Management and Board of Trustees. When full-time, tenure-track faculty job openings occur, there shall be no early notice or preferential hiring treatment afforded to any COSTA unit member. Rather, the District will fill full-time tenure track faculty job openings, including non-instructional positions (librarians, counselors, etc.) in accordance with the provisions of Title V, Section 53021 and the Joint Agreement on Hiring Policy between the College of the Sequoias Faculty Senate, Management and Board of Trustees.
Faculty Selection. The schedule of classes offered for the summer quarter will be determined by the needs of the College. Consistent with the summer schedule, summer school assignments will be rotated in an equitable manner among all tenured and tenure-track faculty members within a department who wish assignments and who are qualified for the assignments available. Each department will create written procedures for summer quarter faculty selection that are subject to the CAO’s approval. In developing the schedule tenured and tenure track faculty will be given preference over lecturers and part-time faculty for all classes for which tenured and tenure track faculty are qualified. Once registration for summer quarter begins, full-time faculty whose course(s) are canceled may not bump part-time faculty. The determination of the faculty members’ qualifications shall reside solely with the CAO.
Faculty Selection. Rutgers will be responsible for review and verification of credentials, appointment and coordination of course instructor(s), faculty/facilitators and their staff and their activities. Rutgers will also be responsible for taking reasonable steps to ensure that an appropriate number of faculty are available to meet the needs of the Managed Programs and projected student enrollment growth.
