False Arrest & Liability Insurance. The Employer shall provide liability insurance in the amount of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000) combined with single limit with an excess insurance limit of liability of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) against liability for acts of an employee while he is acting within the scope of his authority. A copy of the policy will be furnished to the Union Bargaining Committee upon request. The Employer will provide to the employee such legal assistance as will be required when civil action is brought against an employee as a result of the acts occurring when and while said employee is acting within the scope of this authority; provided that notification is immediately given to the Employer that service of process was made upon the employee.
