Common use of Federal and/or State Legislation Clause in Contracts

Federal and/or State Legislation. If during the term of this contract, federal or state legislation is passed which requires a substantial modification of the Health and Welfare Benefits provided by this article which will cost the District $100,000 or more for all Bargaining Unit members, the District shall have the option to immediately open this article for negotiation. The Association shall have the option to immediately open this article for negotiation if legislation is passed that has the effect of increasing aggregate Bargaining Unit contributions for Health and Welfare benefits by $100,000 or more.
